‘Dirty Job’ to unspool after Eid al-Fitr

Iranian feature ‘Dirty Job’ is set to go on screen following Eid al-Fitr.

Director Khosro Masoumi’s latest film ‘Dirty Job’ is set to be screened after the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

The film originally premiered at the 36th edition of the Fajr Film Festival has been allocated a screening slot following Eid al-Fitr.

Themed around issues of work and immigration, ‘Dirty Job’ was the final film in which the late actor Levon Haftvan had starred in.

Masoumi’s film sets in Turkey and Iran and follows the story of Farhad who decides to travel to Turkey for immigration purposes.

Faced with certain obstacles, not only is he no longer able to immigrate, but his return to Iran is also in jeopardy.

Pedram Sharifi stars as the main character of the film with Elham Nami, Reza Fayazi, Khayam Kashani, Kamran Foyouzat, Masoud Forotan, Akbar Moazzai, Shahrokh Forotanian, and Levon Haftvan among the remaining members of the cast.

Masoumi is currently busy writing a new screenplay which he began about a year ago with production beginning this winter if all goes as planned.
